PRACTICAL INFORMATION
When to go
It all depends on which island you want to go to, but as a general rule, the climate in the Canary Islands is mild and temperate. There are many mountainous areas where temperatures are lower. The best time to travel to the Canary Islands, however, is spring or autumn, the temperatures are quite high and the flow of tourists is much lower!
Entry formalities
As the Canaries are part of Spain, European nationals will only needa valid identity card or passport as well as a valid health pass.
For a stay of less than 3 months in the Canary Islands, Canadians will only need to present a valid passport, no visa is required.
Health
No precautions need to be taken before or during a trip to the Canary Islands.
Plane ticket
A flight to the Canary Islands can cost between €50 and €500. Seasonality has of course an important part on the price: The flights will be much higher in summer than in autumn or spring for example.
Jet lag
There is a one hour time difference between France and the Canary Islands. So when it is 12 o'clock in Paris it is 11 o'clock in Las Palmas.
